Jeeezuz these guys know how to f'ing ROCK. Killer grooves, stellar bass lines, just fantastic guitar riffs. The Muggs are Rock n Roll the way Rock n Roll oughtta be: down and dirty and gritty with enough energy to tear the roof off the joint. Now if only they'd come to Texas!

The city does a series of free concerts every summer so my tax dollars at work. 100's of kids-little kids-dancing in the street. Mom's and Dad's and old rockers like me banging their heads. Then I wrote a sampling of good, unique items about Detroit's Final Four weekend, and The Muggs were one of the things I mentioned. ¶ ¶ I've been to five Final Fours (Tampa 1999, Indy 2000, Minny 2001, St. Louis 2005, Detroit 2009). St. Louis is the only city that even tried to mix music into the Final Four scene. And I am thinking that no Final Four host city can match Detroit in terms of having two, solid local music stages. ¶ ¶ You represented!
